Linux Mint 18/19 enable shutter Edit
Default installation of shutter comes with disabled Edit option. If you want to take screen shots and do simple editing then you can enable the editing by installing one additional library:
Update: for Linux mint 19 and Ubuntu 18 you need to do additional steps described in this article: The “Edit” Option Disabled in Shutter in Ubuntu 18.04:
Download 3 libraries and install them manually:
Note: You need to close Shutter by CTRL + Q if it is running.
sudo apt-get install libgoo-canvas-perl
Then in order to edit screenshot do:
- Take a screen shot
- Go to Edit
- Select Tool and modify the picture
- Save the image
