Battery
First charge
The first thing when you buy new phone you ask your self how long to charge the battery.
Like many people, you don't want to know pages of technical documentation.
I am one of them. I always want to see step by step, clear and trusted information.
First battery charge. Many sources from internet say that since the new type of batteries it doesn't matter how long and how the first charge will be done. But I prefer to do:
- charge phone up to 100 % ( this is improve battery info during usage)
- start the phone
- No need to charge it for 12 hours
- For charging - first connect the outlet/USB and then connect the phone
- When stopping charging - I disconnect the phone and then remove the cable from the outlet or the USB.
- Avoid half charging by planning the charge time - to be morning or evening
- Once charged to 100% remove the power cable
- Initially do 3-4 full charge-discharge cycle(the minimum of the phone recommendation 20% 15%)
Most of those recommendations can be meaningless according to internet but like this I can use my phone up to 3 - 4 days with moderate usage of internet and calls.
Save battery.
- Remove all unnecessary applications, fancy themes and bright desktop wallpapers.
- Try to avoid battery heating because is badly for the battery life.
- Optimize your usage - if you don't need to have internet connection then stop it. During the night when I need to sleep I prefer to stop mobile connections.
- Low screen brightness when is possible
- Decrease volume - I can easily hear both people when someone speaks on the phone :)
P.S. Use the phone according to your manufacturer's instructions always when you can read them!
P.S. 2 Keep in mind that battery is just consumable goods and nevertheless what you do there is a limit of it's life.
Other tips
- update and upgrade to last versions- this will increase security
- control the installed apps - I prefer not to install apps only for 1 use. Only if I really need this app I'll installed it
- Remove all unused apps - this will speed up you android system significantly
- Remove temp data and cache - you don't keep the garbage at home why to do it for your phone.
- disable some notification - distraction is the modern sickness - why to be distracted by some insignificant events. Usually the urgent stuff will now how to reach you

- Go to Settings > Battery.
- Click on the percentage to view usage.
Android 6
- Go to Settings > More.
- Battery
- Click on the percentage to view usage.
Enable automatic App Updates
- Open Play Store and head over to Settings.
- Tap on Auto-update apps.
- Choose Auto-update apps on anytime or Do not auto-update apps.
How To Check For android System updates
- Go to **Settings **> About phone/tablet.
- Tap on System updates.
- Tap Check now to look for system updates.
Customize Default Apps
- Go to Settings > Apps.
- Swipe right and look for the **All **tab.
- Select the app you want to remove as default.
- Tap on Clear defaults.
